Social media is also a great way to stand out as it should be personalized. Creating a social identity is also important as just using the outlets is the first step. You want your message to be unique and attract some sort of attention. Just make sure you represent your brand correctly or things could go down the wrong path.

Your followers will let you know if are “doing it wrong”, so really pay attention to what they have to say and make quick changes to reengage them. If they disappear when they were previously interested, something went wrong and it may be time to reevaluate your social identity.
